EXCITING NEWS!!!

Alexia, Teal Stylist

Congratulations Alexia on leveling up!

If you do not know what "Leveling Up" is, it is an achievement that our stylists earn when they hit 7 different metrics within our salon.  These metrics range from service goals, education hours, heightened demand + client retention, to upholding our professional standards, culture & core values.  These metrics must be held for 6+ months consistently in order to level up, which is not an easy task. Alexia we are so proud of you and your dedication to our community and to yourself, your goals and your education.  Keep up the good work!

Meaghan DeFreze, licensed Luxury Realtor

Hi, I’m Meaghan DeFreze! I’m a licensed Luxury Realtor® with KW Coastal and Lakes & Mountains. I was born, raised and now raising my own children here on the Seacoast.

Meaghan with her son

For over 8 years I’ve specialize in matching people with properties in NH and Maine. Why I think I stand out from the crowd of hundreds of agents is my perseverance, honesty, and patience. I promote each home as if it were my own. I offer market insights and a wealth of expertise in presenting your home in the forefront of the local market to achieve a successful sale. Things are constantly evolving, so I enjoy staying educated and up with the latest technology. I believe it’s imperative to have an open and honest line of communication with each client. Laying out expectations from the beginning saves everyone lots of stress and worry in the end.

When I am not working with clients you will most likely find me cooking, organizing, horseback riding or spending time with my 2 incredible boys, my husband Ryan and our 2 dogs Oliver and Cooper. My favorite place to go unwind with my family is our camp on Ossipee lake.

What matters most to me as a Realtor® is helping each client reach their dreams and educating them in the process. It’s about the journey to the closing table and I want each and every one of my clients to look back and say; “Meaghan was a great realtor and you know what, she cared about me and my future.” That is truly what matters to me.

Surviving the Sun: Hair Edition

What's Water-logging?

woman plunging her hair in the water

Pro Tip: Before taking a plunge, water log your hair! Whether you're swimming in a pool, lake, or ocean, your hair can absorb impurities from the water. Here's how to prep:

  1. Wet your hair with clean water - preferably filtered from a shower or bottle, but tap water will suffice.

  2. Gently squeeze out excess water and apply your preferred leave-in product.

For optimal results, we recommend KM Young Again Oil, Everlasting Color Leave-in, or Trybe's Leave-in Conditioner. These products will help protect and nourish your hair while keeping it hydrated during your aquatic adventures.

Dive in with confidence and let your hair stay healthy and beautiful!

Chicken Panzanella Salad

by Simply Recipes

This is the perfect complete-meal salad! Who knew stale bread could be so good? This Chicken Panzanella Salad with bread, tomatoes, and shredded chicken is the perfect dinner for a hot summer night. Easy, delicious, and good enough to eat on its own!

chicken panzanella salad

Ingredients

  • 5 cups torn bread pieces

  • 1/4 cup chicken drippings or chicken stock

  • 4 cups shredded chicken

  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped

  • 1 medium cucumber, sliced

  • 1/2 small red onion, sliced thin

  • 1/4 cup basil, torn

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar

  • Coarse salt

Instructions

  1. Toast the bread:

If you have very stale, crunchy bread, you don't need to toast your bread. Just tear it into pieces. If you are using fairly fresh bread, spread the pieces out on a baking sheet in a single layer, then toast at 400 ̊F for about 10 minutes.

  2. Dress the bread:

When the bread is toasted, spread the pieces on a large serving platter in a single layer or close to it. Drizzle with chicken drippings or chicken stock.

  3. Assemble the salad:

Spread the shredded chicken evenly over the bread. Do the same with the tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, and basil. Drizzle the whole salad with the extra virgin olive oil, white wine vinegar, and sprinkle with coarse salt.

  4. Make the blistered peppers (DAD ADD, optional):

In a small or medium skillet, add a drizzle of oil over medium-high heat. Add the peppers and let sit, untouched, for 3-4 minutes or until the peppers start to blister. Then turn them all over and let them blister on the other side for a few minutes. Remove the peppers from the skillet and sprinkle with coarse salt. Chop and serve on top of the panzanella salad!

Salad leftovers will keep in the fridge for up to 2 days.
